And it's all about your relationship with your boss and his their personal views on how you should achieve your career goals. The market in Russia today is an employee market. If you're not satisfied with your job, you can always find another one that will pay you more. I think you should stay in your job, whatever it takes, only if the situation in the market is bad enough for you. Would you like to have the same job all your life? I'm afraid to think (1) about the possibility of having the same job for the rest of my life. I think (2) it's crazy to have the same position for 10 years, let alone 40. I think (3) people who do that don't develop professionally at all. I think (4) there are some professions that are good to have all your life like teachers or doctors and it should be like that. But you can't say that about office workers.
