One of them is old style working managers, who keep their habits of a previous lower position. If I were a manager, I would try to change my habits. Sometimes it's difficult. When I was a sysadmin I used to do all operational tasks by myself. When you are a manager you shouldn't do it the same way. It's a huge mistake! If I had known about it before I would have changed my style of management much more earlier. If I had won this lottery, I would be rich now... but everyone learns from their mistakes :)
Now when I am a team lead I'm getting used to delegating operational tasks to my subordinates. Sometimes my teammates complain the had enough tasks and didn't appreciate a lot of delegated tasks.
