I was born in the mid-eighties and I'm a part of Millenials generation. I'm not sure how this fact affects on my personal preferences. But I have quite a high level of so called advertisement resistence. I tend not to react on standart advertisement types such as TV or Youtube commercials, internet banners, advertisement on social networks etc. Moreover I believe that if I buy a product or service I find out from ads , I'll pay more for it. Because the price for advertisement has been included in the final price of a product. And I would rather prefer a product with similar characteristics to the one which is widely advertised. One thing which I consciously react to is different types of reviews. It could be a video review on Youtube or written review on the Internet. I like such type of content, where various aspects of the product are revealed and a comparision with the competitor products is made. Also authors usually share their own experienсe of using the product.

d.

From my own point of view I'm totally disagree that brand is more important than quality of a product.
I'm a tech guy and I would rather prefer functionality and reliability of a product than such vague characteristic as brand image.
By the way the quality of a product could be a part of a brand. For example, my association for the Volvo cars is safety. Also Japanese cars a well knowned for its reliability. That's why I would rather buy some Japanese car instead of BMW.
But I realise that in this question I'm likely a part of minority. And most of other people are highly influenced by brand image and brand awareness. That's why iPhone hase been holding a major market share, while we currently have a plenty other models of smartphones with similar characteristics and significantly lower price.
